CHERYL FUGATE – Serving in Guadalajara, Mexico
Bob and Cheryl Fugate served with the Alliance in Santiago, Chile for about 25 years, planting three Alliance churches in that city of 7 million people. In 2014 they transitioned to the struggling field of Guadalajara, Mexico, where on April 19, 2015, the SouthPointe church opened its doors and over 150 people attended the first service. Since then, they have averaged over 100 people, many new believers and lots of visitors each week. The team of 2 missionary couples and three lay Mexican couples has formed the Core Group and land was recently purchased to begin construction on a worship center when they return in December 2017. The Fugates are parents of four adult children and eight grandchildren. The Alliance refers to the Fugates as a “spark couple” which God has used mightily to bring spiritual life to the churches in Latin America.
Cheryl will be speaking Monday, November 6, at 7:00 pm; Tuesday, November 7, at 7:00 pm and at the home of the McGarvey's on Tuesday, November 7, at 10-11:30am over coffee.
